Are there different classes in motogp racing?

I was watching a 250cc moto gp race, are there 1000cc moto gp races.

    At the last round at Laguna Seca, there was the MotoGP race. 800cc prototype bikes.

    There was also support races, like the Red Bull Rookies 125cc race and also a round of the AMA Superbikes which were 1000cc Superbikes.

    MotoGP a couple of years ago were 990cc. but now all bikes 800cc 4 stroke or 125 & 250 2 stroke.

    125s     250s   and the big boys on 800s.  smaller but faster than the 1000cc AMA boys.
