  1. There are lots of different kinds of converter boxes for non-digital TVs.  That's actually what the converter boxes are for, so you can watch the digital on your non-digital television.

You should be able to use any available digital TV converter box on any television.  They are incredibly easy too hook up too.  You just plug in the coax cable to the back of your television.

If you would like some more information on the digital television converter boxes, I'm attaching a copy of the Consumer Reports review of the top models for you to read.  Good luck, and I hope this answers your question.

  2. Any box will fit any TV THAT HAS AN EXTERNAL SIGNAL CONNECTION.

Some TVs have a built in antenna with no external antenna connector and no RCA jacks for audio/video inputs.  There is no way to get the signal from the box to the TV in that case.

The different boxes have different combinations of features.  There is a great comparison chart on wikipedia.  Google --cecb comparison-- to find it.  Be warned, not all the listed boxes are actually available.

  3. I am assuming you are asking if there are converters for non-digital TVs.

Yes, there are many brands available.  They all must meet a standard issued by the FCC to be eligible for the $40 discount coupons being offered.  They do vary in quality, though and the higher end boxes do seem to work better.  You get what you pay for.  Yes, any box should work on any analog TV.

I hope this helps.  Please return and select a Best Answer from all of those submitted.
