  1. Yes, they are called imperfect. There are also plants that are both genders called imperfect. They have different parts in their anatomy based on gender.

  3. To elaborate, some species of plant have individuals themselves being either male or female (like people) and some plants produce distinctly male and female flowers (imperfect flowers). The male or female flowers could be on the same plant at the same time or on the same plant at different times yet still be able to produce both male and female gametes.

    When a plant can only produce male or female gametes they are called dioecious not imperfect. Plants that can produce both (even if they are imperfect flowers) are called monoecious.
