Are there going to be any new ipod touch models coming out?

i want one for christmas but i dont want to ask for it if its going to be outdated a little bit after i get it. it happened to me when i got my 2nd generation nano..

they might redesign it and lower the price this september but it should have already happened by christmas so dont worry
