  1. At the moment they are weekly.

The Post Office union have to give 7 days notice of their intention to strike again.

  2. They are on strike at the moment and probably will be again. For up to date info check their website www.royalmail.co.uk

  3. I went into the post office today and the woman told me that tomorrow post should be released again and service should resume but next week there are supposedly more strike dates to be announced, such a pain!!!

  4. According to what I was told they do not decide till the day before. The idea is nobody will know what days they are on strike and so will complain to the management that postmen should get paid more so that when they post an urgent letter it will get through quickly. Unfortunately postal workers are too thick to understand that in fact what will happen is everybody will switch to using a competing serviceas  more businesses will switch to competing private organisations who always deliver swiftly and on time because they have modern technology  So Royal Mail will go out of business and Royal Mail's postal workers  will all be unemployed. So that is why nobody knows when they are going to strike till it actually happens.
