Are there health benifits to drinking energy drinks?

I usually have an energy drink everyday, these drinks include high concentrations of taurine, and b-complex vitamins. I have read some medical studies which suggest taurine and b-complex vitamins are quite beneficial. Additionally I was surprised that many of the larger energy drinks have less sugar and calories then a regular soft drink. I prefer the energy drinks such as Monster which is 50% juices.

  1. everytime i hear about energy drinks it's always something bad.  my boyfriend was told to stop drinking them by his college football coach.  apparently 2 of them in one day can do a lot of damage.  i think he might have been talking specifically about red bull, but the same might go for all energy drinks.  just be careful and maybe you should try to find other ways of getting energized.

  5. They are only good if you are doing extreme work outs all the time. There is little benefits and more harmful for the average person to be drinking all the time. Many energy drinks are high in sodium and can cause a ton of health issues later in life.

    The last thing your body wants is energy drinks. I see kids drinking the bloody things at 8 AM (I'm not kidding). That will reek havoc on your body.

    As for vitamins; too much of anything can be harmful.
