Are there holiday/travel gift vouchers that can be bought as a present?

Hello, My parent's wedding anniversary is coming up shortly. I would like to buy them a holiday, but leave them the option of where and when to go.

Are there any travel agents (high street or online) that offer vouchers that can be purchased?

And if so, do you have experience of using these vouchers (i.e. are there any pitfalls)?

Yes, check with your travel agent, my cousin got a holiday gift as for honeymoon when she got married.
