Are there huge differences between ActionScript 2.0 and 3.0?

I want to try using ActionScript 3.0 but I need to know if there are huge differences that I need to know of because I don't want to start trying it and find out most of the stuff that's supposed to work in ActionScript 2.0 doesn't work on it.

ActionScript 3.0 is very different. It's almost a completely different programming language, and some developers even see it as such. If you're thinking about making the switch to 3.0, I say go for it. AS 3.0 is far superior to 2.0 in many areas.

Everything that you can do in AS 2 you can do in AS 3, so I wouldn't worry about that.
