I'm wondering if today icebergs can be found at the latitude the Titanic sank. If not, would global warming be the culprit?

thanks

  1. Yes.  The main factor in iceberg formation is snowfall, not temperature.  Glaciers are created by packed snow on land, and as the amount of snow increased the weight of the snow pushes the glacier to the sea, where chunks of it break away as icebergs.  The greater the rate of snowfall, the faster the glacier will move, and with faster movement the icebergs that break away tend to be larger.  The larger the iceberg, the further south it will drift before melting.
