My daughter had a scholarship interview and she was asked some personal and degrating questions. She left in tears and now she feels like she is not smart enough to go to college. Does she have any rights regarding how she was treated. I hope someone out there knows!

  1. I think you should talk to the police about it.

  2. It depends, how personal were they? Alot of times they want to learn about your family and everything.  If you daughter is sensitive she might of felt they were in the wrong.  Now if they asked her things about s*x and things then they were in the wrong.

  3. LOL It is an independent organization! Use your brain!  I was given a full tuition ride to my college over several others with much better grades than me!  We all went in for interviews.  If it is a private organization like a corporation or just a rich group with $ they can give it to whoever they please.

IF it was a sexual question about her body then yes it was illegal.   The same rules go for this interview that go in everyday life.  They can ask u anything as long as they aren't harassing u!  Rich people like to give $ to people like them with the same political views and religious traditions!  Some organizations even only give scholarships to g*y students!  They can ask u anything they want!

Tell her to grow up college is gonna b like this! Sometimes professors put u on the spot just to get u used to thinking quickly.  She has no rights GET OVER IT it is their $ not yours yet!
