  1. Its the question what do you have learned!

  2. Mexico is not South America for starters.

As for the job opportunities, depending on your qualifications, marketable skills and experience.

I take it you mean to have a well-paid position, right?

  3. Most of the countries have policies (worded differently from country to country, but with about the same meaning) to the effect that a foreigner cannot get a work permit unless he has a skill that cannot be provided by a citizen.  Some folks do work illegally but if you are not bilingual you would have even a harder time finding work.

  4. You will have plenty of opportunities if you speak English and have a degree.  If not, then you will probably end up working in a sports book or call center, which isn't necessarily bad.  The money is good, but the hours suck.  If you need information about companies in Costa Rica, go to the TicosLand website.

  5. As an English Teacher, there is a lot of work.

  6. I bet the only opportunity you would come by is teaching conversational english! LOL  The reason I say that is because when I lived in Corpus Christi TX, I couldn't find a job even if my life depended on it.  It appeared that I needed to be bilingual in both english and spanish.
