Are there job shortages somewhere in the rural US?

I'm a liberal arts major but I want to live in the country, I don't have money to invest... what can I do for a living?

I  have  relatives  in central Texas.  It  has been  losing  dairy  farms  and  pig  farms many years. It  is  sad to  see these  once  producing operations  now  totally  empty.  Only  work now  is  in  factory Stevenville  area. Some groups  have  car  pools  and  ride  share  from small town to  larger  towns.There  is  a  college  in Steveville Tx.
