Are there jobs for 13 year olds and how do you let people know your open for babysitting?

um but otherwise babysitting is a good option, be wary of putting your details up in supermarkets etc as, though its good exposure, its also exposure to the wrong sort of folks.

At your age, if you are doing babysiting, try it with neighbours first, generally ones you know, and get your parents to drop you off and pick you up from customers, they should do this for your 'protection' if they say you are just being lazy.

Make sure ur state law about the age of non-family babysitters.  Try craigslist, supermarket/church bulliten boards, word of mouth.  Do a good job and most moms will recommend u to others.  Make sure to get CPR certification.

Some of my friends that are girls do babysitting and they do their teachers kids, and their teachers recommend them to other parents. I'd try that or someone your parents know.

If I were you I would make a simple flier that says you are interested in babysitting. Include your name, age, and phone number and walk around your neighborhood and put it in the mailboxes of people who have swing sets and other toys outside their house that show they have kids. This worked well for me.

I would make flyers and hand them out in your neighborhood.  Don't go too far from home because transportation is a problem when you are 13.  Also, the safety factor comes in so you will want to be close to your home if something goes wrong, someone you know will be close by.  Good luck!

Their aren't many formal jobs for you not until your 16. However, if you want to let people know that u want to babysit you can put the ad into the newspaper. Also, other jobs can include, washing cars for cash, cutting peoples lawns, etc.

well you gotta choose a neighborhood first. Dont go anywhere and post advertisements. My advice is work in the neighborhood of one of your friends so if theres any complications theres somewhere close you can go. Make a advertisement on Powerpoint and if you dont know how get someones help like your teachers  or somethin. Print about 20-40 copies and tape them on street lamps or posts in the neighborhood.

well, you can hang out flyers or put them in everyone's mail tube.  Also, suggest to your neighborhood director that there should be a babysitter's list.  Then email this to everyone in the neighborhood.  Once you have one clinent, they will probably suggest you to neighbors, friends, and family.

It all depends on where you live but where i live you have to be 15 and then you can only work in Grocery Stores or something like that but as far as babysitting goes you can save a little money and put an ad in the newspaper and see how that goes but it would help to try to have some references

Local classified advertising magazines like the Pennysaver are good for advertising. Hopefully, your parents would be willing to advertise your services to people they know. And, if you get a few jobs and do well, those people just might spread knowledge about you by word of mouth.

Otherwise, it can be a bit tough getting a job at such an age, but just think of some service that people need that you can do, like mowing lawns in some areas, or perhaps fixing computers if you can do that.

I'd say you can make posters and put them up in a local store if they allow that, or put them in neighbors mail box. All you have to do is decorate a piece of paper, and put the name of your baby sitting service with a phone number or e-mail. I'm not very sure about jobs for 13 year olds like at stores, McDonalds, Burger  King, but you could baby sit, walk dogs, or anything that someone like a family friend would like you to do. I used to get the mail for my next door neighbor when she was on vacation!

well if you like dogs and live in a neighborhood with alot of dogs....dog walking is a good job.....people are busy these days alot of them dont have time to walk their dogs
