Are there jobs for children under 13?

I'm younger than 13 and i need a job because my family is having to pay for my step dads knee surgery and need to pay bills and rent so have any ideas besides babysitting and car washing?

you can possibly work at dry cleaners or cleaning up a a restuarant.

There are all kinds of things you can do such as housecleaning, babysitting or mowing a lawn. only do theses things for people you know! You can also have a garage sale or get a paper round!

Its difficult when your under 13 because no one really hires that young.

When I was 13 I got a job at a pizza place. It was really easy, I just answered the phone and took orders. If ppl came in i brought their food to their table. I was paid cash (no big deal) b/c i was too young to work (Canadian). Find a place like that, obviously you cant demand a certain amount of money, I was paid less then minimum wage because I was so young and my employement wasn't documented.

Im sure alot of struggling businesses will invest in cheap labour. Look into it.

It is sweet of you to want to help but unfortunately, your resources are limited at your age. You might try to find a neighbor that could use you on a regular basis to help out with various chores but make sure it's someone you know & trust. Keep up your studies because that will help you to get better jobs in the future, which will be here before you know it.
