A Diesel motorcycle is a motorcycle that is powered by a diesel engine. As of December 2006, several companies produce diesel motorcycles.

    Diesel motorbikes

\Royal Enfield Motors of India still makes these classic British bikes, and exports them to more than 20 countries, including Japan, the USA, Canada, France, Germany -- and Britain.

For a long time they also made diesel versions. Unfortunately the diesel models are now out of production, but diesel Enfields are still available from other sources.

"Royal Enfield -- Made like a gun, goes like a bullet" -- Berlin Enfield dealer Pig7 exports the Enfield Diesel 325 and Diesel 435: 1,000 km on a tankful.

I saw one at a show in Ft Collins, CO in 2006.

    Just search on:

    "biodiesel  motorcycle"

  4. Actually yes!... Sort of.. Ethanol it "technically" a bio fuel in the sense that it's not a fossil fuel. It's just alcohol made from harvested plants. A gas engine can be run on a mix of 85% Ethanol and 15% Gas (E85)

So in a way it can be, if you can find enough ethanol. But it's not "Biofuel" as in veggie oil. That only works in a diesel.

I don't know if it will help but I clicked around at these.

  5. no.

veggi power requires a diesel engine.

and as far as i know, there are no diesel motorcycles.

  6. First you would need a motorcycle with a diesel engine--there's none on the market at this time.  It doesn't stop you from trying to retrofit a motorcycle with a small diesel, though.  You can buy kits for cars and trucks.  There's a company called Greasegas that makes and sells conversion kits--I saw a feature about them on TV a while ago, and there's probably other companies out there offering similar kits.  There's also plenty of information available about doing it yourself, if you're handy.

  7. A gas engine would require some serious modification to run on diesel or bio-diesel, pretty sure you would have to replace almost everything but the block and pistons.  When people convert cars and trucks they usually put a brand new engine in.  You might be better off finding an appropriate sized motor and building a custom bike around it.
