  1. I have to tell you honestly that no trendy clothes for your size are existing in Japan except on-line shopping.  No shoes either.

  2. Depending on where you shop, Some shops may have clothing that would fit. Some shops do tend to cater to smaller framed women. When I lived in Tokyo, I had some difficulty finding pants with a long enough inseam.

  3. You should be able to fit most dresses and shirts just fine...But i suggest bringing pants that fit you the best with you and ordering shoes online. That works for me and I'm 6'1. Ebay is great for finding international clothing stores.

  4. Your BMI is the average BMI of Japanese women. But you are much taller, so you will have a difficult time to find your size most of the time if you go to a regular store.

Well, I don't think you will have a lot of problems of finding the bras in your cup size ( by the way, your bra size in Japan would be between D80 and E 80). But you might have a little problem to find your band size. But if you go online and type your bra size, you can find so many bras in your size, so if you can't find the bras in your size at regular stores, still you can order them online in Japan.

By the way, have you heard the brand name, Wacoal? This brand is a Japanese brand. When you go to Macy's, Neiman Marcus or Saks Fifth Avenue, I think you might have seen the brand name. If you can find Wacoal bras, try them on and if you think you like it, you can find the same brand usually anywhere in Japan.

Well...about the clothes in your size...

You said your clothing size is a roughly size 8 so that means the clothes in your size in Japan might be between 9 and  11 or between 11 and 13. Depending on a brand, I think the size would be a bit different.

Well, usually a lot of stores carry the clothes in size 9 and size 11 so I would say that you just need to go to a regular store and try clothes on. And if you think a size 11 is too small, you can ask a sales associate where you can find the clothes in a bigger size. If you go to a big department store in a big city, there is a section for taller people. So you might be able to find the clothes in your size there.

About the shoes in your size...well...it will probably be the most difficult thing to find..I would say you might be better to bring your shoes from the states.

Your shoe size in Japan is 26cm...that's actually pretty big for women...and that's the average men's shoe size in Japan.

The average shoe size for women in Japan is between 23.5 cm ( size 6 1/2 in Ameircan size )and 24 cm (size 7 in American size). Usually the biggest size that regular shoe stores carry is 25 cm. So if you want to buy the shoes in your size in Japan, you probably have no choice to order them online or you need to order custom made shoes. But the easiest way is to bring a lot of shoes in your size from the states before you go to Japan.

  5. I am Japanese, my size  is US12, but I still can find my clothes.

    My JPN size is 15 -17/ LL - 3L.

    Your size is US 8 and I guess it's probably JPN 11 - 13 / L .

But you are 5'10, it's about 177-178cm, and then it's absolutely "TALL SIZE" in Japan.

Visit "tall size shops" or go website.

    This is "Nissen" online-shopping.

    Go to ;http://www.nissen.co.jp/smileland/specia...

You can see " トールサイズ=tall size for 160-170cm" and " もっとトールサイズ = MORE tall size for 170-178cm"

    Nissen size chart;for your information

JPN pants don't fit me well, I think specially hip is smaller in JPN size . I recommend you to try " ゆったりヒップ= roomy hip ” .

If you don't find comfortable clothes, you can order online to US.

When I want new jeans, I order online at LLbean, American eagle,etc...

  6. I think cloths of your size is difficult to find in Japan. It's better for you to bring your cloth from your country.

  7. Good luck on that one. My GF is 5' 6" 105 lbs, and she has problems finding clothes. I'd stock up if I were you...
