I was left some money and real estate when my aunt passed away but when it came time to receive it my aunts son and daughter refused to give me my copy of the will or my belongings. Are there lawyers that will take my case and not charge me til we win?

  1. In the UK most solicitors will do a 'no win no fee' for you if you don't earn enough/don't have any savings to pay for the service. The down side of this is that they are less willing to fight to the death for your case. Though this looks like a straight forward case so I would think you'll be fine.

  2. probably not going to find a contingency lawyer for an estate. Most are going to want at least a basic retainer and expenses.

Try the phone book; or talk to the probate otffice; you might be able to do some basic things yourself

  3. Contesting a will is not easy..you have to prove that the person who made the will was not in their right mind, or someone tricked them. And that is if you have a copy of the will, to start with.

I see lots of contingency lawyers advertise for personal injury cases, or social security.  Of course, I am sure they look carefully at those, and if it seems like they are likely to lose, they can refuse to take it.

I don't think your odds are real high to find one.  You have to talk to them directly.
