  1. Most lakes have leeches, but, they are usually in the weedy shallow parts of the lake.. very unusual to get any if you stay where the bottom is sandy or deeper water.

  2. EWWW I HATE LEEECHES!!!*shivers*

i think there is some, ive been there, but i was to chiken to go i the lake

  3. Yes, they are usually around areas with seaweed and other aquatic plants

  4. You don't get 'bit' by leeches. They attach themselves with two barbed hooks, one on each end of their body.

I've had them before, one I didn't notice until I started getting dizzy. They pull off with a little effot, but thanks to the anticoagulant they use, the would will bleed for a few minutes. It's nothing a couple of band aids won't help.

Seriously, their reputation is worse than reality.

As for your question, I don't know about that specific lake, but hey do like cold water.

  5. Yes they have them but if you stay in the lake you may not get one on you. Most time if you get one it will be in the back water type streams.

But as cold as it is up there this year I do not think you will do much swimming lol unless you are a very hearty soul.

If you fear the Leeches I do not see you as that hearty lmao.
