  1. Yep, its called Entrepreneurship, or starting your own business.

There are also many jobs that people who work with people in offices find a way to do from their own home, and not for anyone else. Like accounting, real estate, and home inspection and many more. The possibilities are endless

All of these require professional degrees a/o certifications, but find something you're interested in, and just keep taking it farther, and you'll be set up in no time.

  2. Yes.

  3. Yes. I know someone who does phone-based customer service (for a real, legitimate company) out of her home, and I work out of my home managing rental properties. I used to write news for a living and much of that I was allowed to do at home, as well.

Think twice, though. The jobs I've had working from home are actually harder jobs than the ones I've had where I punched in, punched out and went home after 8 hours. Granted, it's nice to sleep til 10 and work in your pajamas! But I work up to 60 hours a week, so it's not a cakewalk, either.
