here's the deal, i did the name your own price thing and got a ticket, but my travel times suck. i wasn't "tricked" like a lot of people were or whatever, but was assuming it'd be like last time. last time i was very fortunate with an early arrival time there and mid afternoon depart time back, and due to some extenuating circumstances had to get a flight later in the day on the way out, which worked out i was able to fly standby. i wasn't really aware that that was how my ticket got changed last time, and thought my airline was nice enough to hook me up. this time i get there 1130 pm and have the return flight at 545 am, which i desperately want to change, that's pretty much an entire day sucked out of my trip. anyone know anything i can do, at all, to convince them for a refund/flight change? i thought about the red-eye thing, i'm not sure if that was one of the variations i tried to get a cheaper ticket or not. thanks.

  1. You're pretty much out of luck.

The reason that Priceline is able to offer the fares that it does is that airlines offer up bulk fares on flights where they have a large number of unsold seats.  These are usually during the least convenient times or mid-day/mid-week flights when business travelers aren't flying.

As a result, you're not likely to be able to get your flights changed, and Priceline doesn't offer refunds for name your own price.  Depending on the airline and your fare rules you may be able to stand by and get on earlier in the day for your outbound, but you're pretty much stuck with the return.

    Sorry.
