Are there lots of tarantulas in Playa Del Carmen Mexico?

I was reading what a traveler wrote on Trip Advisor, and they had a tarantulla in their tub at a resort in Playa! They posted pictures! I'm going here for my honeymoon (diff. resort though) and Im terrified now! I would have an accident in my pants if I saw one.

Here, in Mexico, there are a lot of tarántulas in the whole country, diferent species; of course there are in Playa del Carmen too. But, usually, in the hotels always aplied controls on any kind of animals.

Anyway, you may find some tarántula, but there is no reason to be afraid to that spiders, because they are absolutly inofensive, they are not dangereus at all. Don't worry about tarántulas, believe me, we know them well, they are bigs but not "ponzoñosas" (sorry, don't know english word, they are not so much "poisoness"?).

Yes there are tarantulas in PDC, but if your not allergic to bee stings / bug bites you should be OK if your bitten by one.  They aren't confrontational so don't expect them to jump on you or run after you if you see one.  They are more scared of you then you will be of them..

I've been several times and never had an unpleasant experience or seen tarantulas.   Your r going to have so much fun.

You should go to Xcaret not far (it's this huge beautiful aquatic park; snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, etc)
