Are there lymph nodes on the back of your knee?

i'm a cross country runner and practice has just started this past week. on teh second day i notice a slight pain in the back of my knee and found a hard bump about 2 cm in diameter. i work with a CNA and she said that it might be a lymph node. i don't know for sure but i know something is not right! it's not painfull just sore after i run a lot. any help?

  1. There are lymph nodes on the back of your knees. The usual cause of swollen lymph nodes is an infection of some sort (anything from a cold to an infected wound). You should get it checked out by a doctor just to be sure of what it is.
