Are there many jobs for Archaeologists in the US?

Question

I have almost finished my Archaeology BSc and would like to live in the US for a few years. Does anyone know if there is much call for archaeologists in the states and what the wages are like?

Lucky you, I've always wanted to be an archaeologist, but I heard 1 in 10,000 actually get picked. There's not an answer for your question really. Just thought I'd share my long, lost dream. As for here in the States? I wouldn't think there's anything. For me I'd rather work out of country. So much to see. I hope you have fun.  :)
