In all honesty i haven't skied in France but Italy is fantastic (try Passo Tonale). The food is definitely better in Italy.

Yes, I ski in Italy, Sestriere and Madanno di Campligio are my favourites.

I have also skied in France,Austria,Switzerland and the USA.

Skiing is pretty much the same where ever you go. The nice thing about the Italians is that they dont take it too seriously and usually have a dance around 4 in the afternoon. They look prettier and pose more than the French.

The skiing is generally better because the Italian Alps face South.  The Italian attitude to ski is more laid back, as is their attitude to life in general.  The French look down on the English: Italians try to mother them.  If you plan to go to a resort that's full of British and American people, it doesn't make a lot of difference.
