  1. I just returned from sapa, and cat cat. there aren't so much public toilets but definatly a few places to stop in and pee. And yes there are places throughout the entire place. Most people though just stop into a shop or restaurant. they are ok with you going in and using there toilet. Dont forget though, they are squat toilet..not western

  2. i go back every 6 months. there are more public toilets every time i go.  there are "toilets " on trains[ a nice way to travel], buses make periodic rest stops to eat and use "the facilaties". no resturant will stop you from using their toilets [not like in n.y. city]... in fact anybody in viet nam that has a toilet will let you use their toilet ... they are extreamly kind and giving people. howerver, that said most facilities are not to western standards, and you might want to " hold it in" till you get to your hotel. ALWAYS carry your own toilet paper and "imodium"..... to ask for a toilet in viet nam say , "toilet".. or in vietnamese, " nha vey sinh o dau"... toilet paper is "gai[ pronounced "yay"] vey sinh"..but you just may recieve some old note book pages if you out in the countryside.... before you go you may want to practice squating...just in case... some places still only use french styled squat toilets[ a hole in the floor]

  3. There are trees everywhere.
