My wife and I are looking to move to Philly and we would love to own a boat again. Are there any marinas in town? Does anyone know how long it takes to get to go down the river to get to the bay? Any info would be great. THANKS!

  1. Yes, there are.  There is also a very nice one just across the river in Camden (no worries, it's near the one venue and patrolled by the Camden County Park Police).  It's also a great place to watch the 4th of July Fireworks.  There are plenty of Marinas in the Phila. area.   I cant help you on the distance, however.

    Nautical Landings

    Piers Marina

  3. There are a bunch of marinas all up and down the River on both sides.  The ones in Philly usually lie within Penn's Landing.  There's one in Bellmawr, NJ that I used to go to as a little kid with a family friend just off of Creek Road.  That's like 4-5 miles inland from the river, and not much closer to the Bay though.

It looks to be about 60 miles from Penns Landing to the beginning of hat I would consider the Bay.  I guess the rest is up to you...no idea about speed/navigation/your boat, etc.
