Question:

Are there maximum height restrictions on rides?

You know those rides which state "You must be this tall to ride"? So you have to be at least a certain height to ride them. But do they also have a limit on how tall you can be? Is there a "You cannot exceed this height to ride" rule on those same rides?

I'm sure they have a restriction on height for the kiddie rides, but I'm not talking about those. If you read the question then you''l see that I only mean those rides which have a minimum height requirement to ride.

  1. Yes there can be a max on rides. I know there's a drop tower at Carowinds that I belive the max is 6'6 or so.

  2. Height restrictions on "Thrill Rides" are normally 54 inches or taller.

Restrictions for kiddie rides - well, probably you should use your best judgement.  If you're going to bump your head, don't go... If your big butt is going to get stuck and/or break the seat don't go...  If the ride makes you slide into the kid(s) and squash them to death, don't go...   etc etc.

    Hope this helped!

  3. lol that is odd i never thought of that.. star for you

  4. idk at my fair this year i tried to get on a ride and it wasn't a kiddie ride and they said i was to tall and i am 5'11" but they let my friend 5'3" go on but other than that i dont think so hope i helped you oh yay and when you are really tall i know i have the hardest times with leg room and bars me and my brother both when we ride we have to get the seat in the front or with no one beside us so we can spread our legs  Cause like i said i'm 14 and 5'11" and my older brother is around 6'0" and my dad is 6'4" so we all have a time

  5. no i saw a 7ft 2 man on a baby ride with his kid and their was no problem but it might be a problem if the ride was going under a tunnel or something.

  6. yes there are. sadly there are. it´s really something that bothers me because imagine someone that does not goes to rides because he can´t instead of he chooses not to.

you don´´t believe me. look at this.

  7. i don't think unless of coarse you don't fit in it then you obviously couldn't ride it

  8. I don't know of any POSTED height restrictions on adult rides.  I would imagine that they would allow anyone from 5 ft to 7 ft or more to ride safely.  This is within the reasonable average of most amusement park goers.

What they should have is a posted "You are too fat to go on this ride" signs.  I saw this hippo last year at the carnival that had no business putting her butt into anything smaller than a semi, trying to fit in the "tea cup" ride.

  9. at disneyland for like space mountain it is 40 inches. and gor matterhorn it is 35 inches and for mailbumer it is 52 inches and also for california screamin it is 48 inches.

  10. Yes my friend Jerry is 10 feet tall and can't ride any rides.. of course he eats children and can touch clouds when he wants to, but he is banned from any ride that doesn't ride on nuclear energy... you see, a lot of people don't care of Jerry's kind because he absorbs energy through his electro pores in storage for the day when he will defend our world from the evil large spider ants that will attack in 2017.  Please don't make fun of Jerry.. just because he's too large to ride your simple mortal rides... some day you may worship him!

  11. Yeah at wonderland, if you exceed 6"2 you can't ride some of the rides.

  12. well of course there's a maximum height. You can't exactly have a 7 foot person on a ride where someon whos 6ft has there head a bit out. I think there was an article in the Utah paper i read on my winter vacation that said that a man who was 6,5 felt discrimated against because he couldn't fit on this roller coaster in Utah. All I know is that they supposedly had the right under construction to be able to hold people up to 7 feet! the problem with that was that if you were short you probably couldnt get on. Anyways im rambling here but yes, i do think rides have a ma]x requiremnt

  13. no i don't think so

  14. Well, I just went to Hershey Park in Pennsylvania last week, and they did have certain restrictions on some rides. Me and my dad rode a roller coaster, and he barely fit in it. He's 6'5" so he barely had any leg room. I know that some rides have restrictions on weight...especially a park geared towards kids and teens. My dad had trouble on the rides where you had to put that bar or something over your head...it would barely go over his shoulders since he's so tall!! Also, i'm 16 and 5'10" and we had to get in the front of one ride because the seats had more room. It just depends. Most rides won't tell you restrictions...you'll just find out when you get on the ride! That's what happened with us...an hour in line, then we couldn't ride it! Good luck, and i hope this helped:)
