Are there more commercial flights or more fighter jets in the world???

Commercial flights by far, military aircraft fly sorties far less. Air Force, Navy, and Marine units have a more diverse inventory of aircraft and helicopters, their mission rates are confined to global deployment and Reserve units that fly restrictive hours in training.

While the military have fewer aircraft, they do have some of the most fun to fly!  Both the Air Force and the Marines  have excellent aviation programs for training pilots and many transition to commercial airlines after their service. Use Google to search for the numbers - it will take a bit of time!
