  1. Horses. For one thing more zebra breeds are on the endangered list. More horse breeds to start with. Definetely horses!

  2. There are more horses than zebras in the world because horses will work for humans zebras (related to donkeys) are very hard to train.

    Population numbers are only approximate

    Horses = 29,203,500+

    Zebras = 700

    Donkeys = 44,000+

    Camels = 701,000+

    According to Wikipedia:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zebras

    "Modern man have had great impact on the zebra population since the 19th century. Zebras were, and still are, hunted mainly for their skins. The Cape mountain zebra was hunted to near extinction with less than 100 individuals by the 1930s. However the population has increased to about 700 due to conservation efforts. Both Mountain zebra subspecies are currently protected in national parks but are still endangered.

    According to Wikipedia:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horse

    "There are more than 300 horse breeds in the world today."

    If there were only 10 horses per breed then that would be 3,000 so they out number zebras by far.

    Here is a graphic that shows horse populations in the world:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:2003h...

    According to the same Wikipedia article:  "This bubble map shows the global distribution of horses in 2003 as a percentage of the top market (China - 8,088,000)....

    Around the world, horses play a role within human economies. The FAO reports that in 2003, China had the largest number of horses in the world with over 8 million horses, followed by Mexico (6,260,000), Brazil (5,900,500), the United States (5,300,000), and Argentina (3,655,000)."

    Since horses are found in so many countries (they are native to Asia, and Europe and were imported to the Americas) there are more horses than zebras, camels, or other animals you can ride.  You can't ride a lama, a bull, an ox, or even a cow.  You can ride a donkey or *** but, they don't like it.

    According to Wikipedia:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donkey

    "There are about 44 million donkeys today. China has the most with 11 million, followed by Ethiopia and Mexico. Some researchers think the real number is higher since many donkeys go uncounted."

    Horses out number the only other animals that you can ride by a huge factor.

    According to Wikipedia:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camels

    "The almost 14 million dromedaries alive today are domesticated animals (mostly living in Somalia, Sudan, Mauritania and nearby countries).

    The Bactrian camel is now reduced to an estimated 1.4 million animals, mostly domesticated. It is thought that there are about 1000 wild Bactrian camels in the Gobi Desert in China and Mongolia.

    There is a substantial feral population of dromedaries estimated at up to 700,000 in central parts of Australia, descended from individuals introduced as transport animals in the 19th century and early 20th century."

    So that means that there are more horses than camels, and more camels than donkeys and more donkeys than zebra.

    I couldn't find any population figures for Llamas, but they are native to only South America so they have to have a far smaller population similar to zebras.  The most animals in the world are insects, rodents like rats and those that are domesticated by mankind.

  3. aren't zebras a type a horse which means that there are the same number of horses and zebras.

  4. horses, probably
