Every city in Canada has new suburbs popping up.  It is like a housing explosion.  It is happening everywhere.  Name a city and there are new suburbs.  I think it is partly because young people starting families today have a different expection that their parents and grandparents in terms of housing and a first home, and often have the money and the desire to start out in a new and large home.  The suburbs are filling a demand.
