  2. you might find some online or correspondence classes for personal use, but you won't really learn it w/o proper one on one instruction. you certainly could never get certified online or via correspondence, but once certified thru a regular school they do offer such classes for continuing ed.

To become a massage therapist you need hands on training, and it usually takes anywhere from 500 hours of instruction to over 1,000 depending on your state.  You can take continuing education classes online, once you are done with your initial training.  I took one technique class online and would never do it again.  A hands on class is much better.  That said, business and marketing classes and ethics classes are fine to take online, since they don't have any hands on components.
