Are there other pretty show ways to braid my fillies mane?

I have a 2 year old fillie and she is gonna be a show horse. I want to do a little work on her mane and tail. Well being a fillie she is deathly afraid of spritz bottles (show sheen) any help?

Instead of show sheen you can use beaten egg whites as long as you clean it out after wards. It also works well for keeping the braids in place

As for braiding, there is a good video of videojug.com just type in "how to braid a horses mane" or tail.

try the twist.   Similar to braiding, only you divide the section to be braided into two sections instead of three.  Just start twisting, and tie it off.  If it uncurls, do it again.  It looks like a rope when it is finished, absolutely unique and beautiful!
