Are there palaces or castles in paris that you can go visit?

i want to know if there is a palace or castle that is like a history museum but the real castle or a replica of where it used to stand in paris.

a street name or something like that would be great!

  1. Actually, the Louvre was once a Royal Palace.

    There is also the Conciergerie which was a castle built by the Merovingian kings is on the Ile de la Cite not far from Notre Dame.

    The Palais du Luxembourg is now the French Senate (you can't go in but can walk around the outside).

    The Palais Bourbon was built by the Duchess of Bourbon in 1722 and is now the French national Assembly.

    Outside the city of Paris there is Versailles the biggest palace ever and on the grounds two smaller palaces, the Grand and Petit Trianons.
