  1. The bigger, the better.  

    LIke the guy above said, all plants do is suck up CO2 and release oxygen, I don't think they remove other impurities in the air.


  2. Algae are the most efficient at sinking carbon into the sediment.    The oceans process many times the organic carbon than any terrestrial plant.

  3. Spider houseplants remove toxic fumes from the air better than most plants do.

  4. plants dont filter air, they just remove CO2 and replace it with O2. most plants are arround the same but faster growing plants will store CO2 quicker.

  5. The US Forest Service has an big computer program that calculates for all different kinds of trees, based on size, age, and species, how much CO2 they suck up, how much pollution like SO2 and NO3 they suck up, etc.  Try looking on their website.
