Are there people who just put a negative for everyones answers?

Everytime I see someone having a decent question and it has like 50 answers, all the people who answered have a thumbs down. I see this a lot. WTF. Are their seriously people who just do this for fun? Because im thinking of getting to lvl 2 just to do this.

Sounds fun.

It's pretty dumb for someone to do that just for the fun of it. If your answer is chosen as Best Answer, and there's one thumb's up and one thumb's down then that person won't get that extra point because the thumbs down offsets that thumbs up. You get one point for every thumbs up you get on a chosen Best Answer. If someone disagrees with my opinion then I respect that, but if you do that just to spite people then that's dumb. However, I wouldn't know the real purpose for that person to put a thumb's down on my response.

BTW, you don't get a point for marking a thumb's up or down.

I sometimes randomly give thumbs up to (almost) everyone, just to buck that trend. Ack, I'm doing it again!

Hey when i answer a question i usually think if i was in that situation or if i have been what i did and the best thing in their situation what they should do.Or just facts on products they are asking about i give the best answer to my knowledge of the product or i wont answer if i dont know anything on the subject.

I found most things like race and questions on how someone looks usually gets negative abuse and ends up going off the point of what the person actually asked.

Then people get offended and report your answer or question because they dont understand it from someone else perspective.

I am now on level two and thumbs down people who dont answer the question or going off the point and just generally taking the p**s out of the questioner unless the questioners, questions dont match and you have strong facts that they are lying on who they are.

I think people thumbs down just so there answer looks the best for the questioner choosing

Sadly, Yahoo! Answers is a microcosm of horrible people with no lives, who get kicks out of giving people's answers a low rating for no reason.
