I'm wondering if speeding is a good idea if I'm going from NY to Nashville. Are there lots of cops on those highways, even late night/early morning?

  1. yes, and b/c there are fewer cars to hide amongst you're actually more likely to get noticed then than you are during daytime hours.

  2. Yes. That is a time they look for DUI and smugglers. It is always a good idea to obey the speed limit

  3. They're looking for people exactly like you, people who think they can speed because its in the wee hours of the morning. I saw a speed trap set up at 5am on a major highway nabbing bunches of people... nearly got me too! Luckily it was near my exit so I was slowing down to get off...

  4. I see more police after dark than any other time of day, so probably not a good idea.

  5. There is always a cop somewhere on the highway 24/7.
