Can any of these sizes be bought or do I have to have it custom made?

  1. Stock kitchen Base cabiinets are standard at 23 1/2 - 24" deep for kitchens. Bathroom Vanities are either 23 or 18" deep. Maybe modifying a vanity for what you want??? Good luck

  2. :D

  3. Several manufactures make 12" deep base cabinets as a stock item.  Generally these are "full height door" cabinets -- no drawer at the top as is the more traditional approach.  I know that Merillat, Aristokraft, Schrock, Medallion and Kemper make these, there are many others I am sure.

14 or 16 deep is not likely, although you may find a 15" deep -- stock cabinets tend to work in 3" increments both ways.  If you could use a 12" and pull it away from the wall, you will save some $$.

Also would mention that you can fake a 12" deep base by taking a 30" wall cabinet and building the bottom up to make a toekick and adding panels to the sides if the sides will be exposed.  This looks very similar to the stock 12" deep cabinets I mentioned earlier and may let you get by with a less expensive brand if the budget dictates.  This was common practice for some time before the manufacturers started making 12" deep as a stock item.

One last note -- a bathroom cabinet may be of some use to you.  Some manufactures make 18" and 21" deep in a full height cabinet that will match their standard kitchen cabinets.
