  1. I'd humbly suggest you study anatomy and massage--particularly of the trigger-point or "myo-fascial" sort for this kind of info, really.

The long and short of it is....the only way you can instantly *paralyze* someone is the worst way possible--by breaking their neck in a way that severs the upper spinal cord.  However, there are some nerves--the ulnar nerve was mentioned, the median nerve can be a good one too (it's the one involved in carpal tunnel syndrome, and can usually be hit on the back of another person's hand, *between* the carpal bones behind the fingers)--that can cause numbness and loss of motor control.  Some wristlocks put pressure on the median nerve to make the hand loosen its grip involuntarily.

The catch with this is....while lots of bones and arteries--like the clavicles (collarbones) and the femoral artery (of the inner thigh, right leg, a.k.a. the Griffith's Pinch Point)--have nerves, you can only work a pressure point or area for so long before it just goes "numb" from the pain and stops responding to further attacks or pressure.  You can't win a fight by this stuff alone, it is NOT a delivery system.

As has been mentioned you have to be able to get inside, get in a trap or clinch or takedown position before you can work nerves.  This stuff only works, at minimum, if you have well-trained physical attributes (strength, speed, flexibility) *and also* have a delivery system, a method of *getting there*.

Still, once you have the way to get there, you can make life interesting--in a bad way--for your worthy adversaries.  ^_^  Hope this helps.

  2. no there are not  pressure points that will paralyze right away    holding a main pressure point or major arteri could result severe injury, blacking out, or death

  3. Yes, the pressure point fighting arts can paralyze different parts of the body. Before you dabble into the pressure point fighting arts (Atemi Waza), you must first learn to fight well enough to be able trap your opponents limbs to be able to apply a pressure point grab or strike. Look up George Dillman, he is one of the world's best pressure point fighting instructors. He was also Muhammad Ali's karate instructor.

  4. No. There are places where large nerves are relatively exposed and prone to potential trauma. The best known is the ulnar nerve at the elbow, AKA the funny bone.

  5. There are no pressure point that can paralyze you.

  6. you can cause people serious, debilitating pain, but complete and instant paralysis seems unlikely

  7. Honestly, I can't say yes or no, as I know that a strong elbow to the neck can cause death.  There are many pressure points, I don't know if there is a paralysis pressure point.

    Good luck in your pursuit.
