Are there projectors for home theaters that can plug in your tv cable to?

Which are the best home theater projecters to get, and can you hook up your cable to them?

Think of a projector as a monitor (i.e. video only since there are no speakers (at least not useable ones), no internal tuner).

The normal practice is to send the video signal from a DVD or Blu-ray player (for movies) or a satellite or cable box (for TV) via HDMI, component, S-video, composite cable (in decreasing order of quality) to the projector, and the audio signal to a receiver and speakers.

As to the best projector to get ... as with most things it depends on your budget, program material and preferences. Projectors start at about $500 (low resolution) and go to 1080p HD projectors ($2000+).

Most home theater projectors are glorified office presentation projectors, and as such don't have a built-in tuner.  Therefore, you can't plug your cable directly into them.  The require a digital input that must come from either your DVD player or cable box.
