Some states have state programs.  Income is often a criteria for eligibility.  Search your state website for "homestead" or 'property tax rebate'.  Or call your state rep's office - they'll know.

Yes there are.  It depends on what state you live in.  In Florida it is called "The Homestead Act".  In New York it is called "The Star Program".

This is a local issue.  My area freezes the taxes once you are 65.

Depends on the location. I know COBB county GA. does, but next county of FULTON does not.
