  1. no snakes, hardly any dangerous creatures

    no crocs or alligators

    except at the zoo

  2. We have no snakes.  Occasionally, one will be trapped, but there is no evidence that snakes have yet established themselves in the wild.  On the other hand, we do have plenty of insects in Hawaii - mosquitoes, roaches, ants, etc.  Not sure if any of our spiders are poisonous or not.  I think our most dangerous creatures are people.

  3. I have always thought and believed the SAME as you, that there are NO snakes in Hawai'i, Apparently we both are mistaken according to this article....have a look...

As far as the bugs..OH Yes there are Bugs in Hawai'i..some BIG UGLY Cockroaches..Crocs..No..Alligators..NO.. (except at the Zoo)Poisonous Spiders, I Doubt there are many, possibly Black Widows, I Don't know about the Brown Recluse but I would say Yes they are in Hawai'i, but in reality there are Actually VERY few poisonous spiders anywhere in the world, MOST are harmless.

And the Blind Snake is only found in gardens in Hawai'i and looks more like a worm than a snake. Looks like we both learned something today...Good Question!~~Aloha~~

  4. Yes, it's true that Hawaii has no snakes except in the Honolulu Zoo.  That being said, we do have a native animal that is called a blind snake but this animal eats small bugs just as ants and termites so is not a threat to the ecosystem.  This "snake" was introduced a while ago and has since established itself.  I've lived here all my life and never seen one!

We also do not have crocodiles or alligators except at the zoo.

We do, however, have many insects and bugs.  I'm not sure if we have poisonous spiders or not as I've never seen any but that doesn't mean they don't exist here.

We don't have any of these animals because of the strict import rules established here.  Since we are an island state, the introduction of any species not native here causes widespread damage to our wildlife and eco system.  Once an animal is established here, there really is no way to get rid of them!

    Hope that helps you.......

  5. yep the only snakes they have are at the zoo but people sneak them in when they do  they  get  to pay  i  really  high  fine  or go to jail for life you have to ask if you can bring a snake as long as it doesn't have dieseas
