breed the animals just so hunters can shoot them? I was watching some 'amazing videos' show where the subject was deadly animals, and there was a lion that attacked a group of men who were hunting it and I asked my dad why they were hunting it, and he told me this. I find it extremely appaling. I'm wondering if this is true, and if so, if you could give me some links to websites with info on this or websites that promote/petition this. Thank you.

  1. I know as a fact that they have Butterfly Farms for harvesting for those really gross glass frames, but I've never heard of Lions bred just to be shot :[

  2. I know of a few exotic animal breeders, but for conservation and hobby purposes only and never to hurt the animals. Killing lions would be against the law here, luckily.

  3. It is possible, but not for lions.  There are ranches in Texas that breed and grow exotic deer for hunting.  I see nothing wrong with that.  They paid dearly for the initial stock.  The exotic deer are their property.  They can do pretty much as they please with that property.  There are no rules or regulations on exotic species, as far as hunting.
