Are people attracted to each other today by these pheromones if they are real? And what are copulins exactly?

  1. Well,

Human pheromones I believe is real, I believe that such does happen when someone passes on and not at rest. I believe people attract to each other by other sources within themselves and it has nothing to do with this. I have never heard of copulins, however, I do know what copula means. It means the word which unites the subject and predicate of a proposition, part of to be a bond, a link.

I hope this helps. God Bless You!

  2. I can tell you from direct experience that, yes, pheromones are a big part of how humans attract one another, yes, you can buy and use, synthetic pheromones for this purpose.  And anyone who wants to can test this out for themselves easily enough.

Copulins, btw, are a particularly potent type of pheromone that women give off when they are near maximum fertility during their menstrual cycle.

And, you can even send in a DNA sample to a dating service that will match you up with people who have a very high liklihood of being attracted to you because your histocompatibility complex are an ideal match (which tends to be reflected in the specific pheromone signature you are most likely to find appealing):

  3. People respond to the smells of other people.  Some of this is instinctive much of it is learned.  Pheromones in insects provoke an instinctive response, insect responds almost robotically.  We like to think people make a choice, so the reaction to smells is not the equivalent to a pheromone, we are not driven in the same way.

I think the problem is with the definition.  People  do have pheromones but a  wider range of reaction, not just go / no go.  Some people say then, that the chemical provocation does not qualify as a pheromone.  I think it does.

A note.  Vladimir Nabokov, an expert on butterflies and a fantastic novelist often dealing with sensuality and sexuality, once said that a man should be neat but not too clean.  HE believed that humans have something along the lines of pheromones.

  4. No such thing as human pheromones.  There has actually not been a lot of research in the hard science community.  There have been by the psychological.  However, the one paper I read that claimed to have found female pheromones that regulated ovulation did not follow the scientific process. Which is pretty much common is that field.

There has never been any proof that one s*x is attracted to the other by smell.

Copulins are supposed to be a female pheromone that attract men.

If a woman or a man needs perfume to attract the opposite s*x, they are indeed a sad sad person.  No one thing causes an attraction.  Would any woman wear a perfume that says "f*** me"?   I hope not.  Most women know if the want s*x they have get it pretty easy, even if the don't smell nice.

  5. Every person has their own "scent."  There have been studies done on mothers and children.  The mothers were all blindfolded and a baby was put in front of them to smell.  They were not allowed to touch the child.  85% of the mothers picked their own child.

Now the question is, is scent pheromones?  Well, if you like the scent of someone, you like to hang out with them.  If you don't like the smell of them, you will spend less time with them.  The more you spend time with someone, the closer you become.  Close enough for split hairs.
