Question:

Are there restrictions on bringing medicine, vitamins, and supplements into China?

For example, can someone bring in a year's supply of vitamins and minerals? How about a year's supply of prescription allergy medication? Or a year's supply of an herbal supplement, like St. John's Wort (which would be over 1,000 capsules)?

Also, could someone have these sorts of items shipped to them in China, or are there regulations against that?

Thanks!

  1. you should have no trouble getting them in by packing them in your luggage, we have brought in all kinds of vitamins and stuff like that in large quanities w/o a problem

as far as having things mailed it, you might run into some troule there, you may have to try to find a supplier that will ship to China first before ordering, we have had some dificulties in having things like that mailed here, they some to get hung up in customs, as far as herbal suppliments you may want to check into Chinese traditiona medicine, they may have the stuff you want right here in China

  2. I've brought thousands of capsules of vitamins, fish body oil, and so on, to China, as gifts. Chinese people like to eat American vitamins. Never had any problem. I just brought those in my suitcase. I believe that to ship them should also be fine.
