Are there reverends in the religion of Islam? Help me understand the anti-Obama rhetoric?

Is there anything contradictory there?

Hint: There are no reverends in Islam.

First off, I want to make it clear that I do not believe Obama is a Muslim.  

But, while the two statements seem contridictory, they aren't necessarily so.

The Unitarian church is an example of a church that accepts non-christain believers into it's fold.  Theorhetically, Obama's church could be the same.  

And there are others who feel Obama only went to that church to pose as a Christian.  But he still would hold Wright in high regard.

But I do think that most who hold to one theroy do not hold to the other.

People of different faiths often worship and participate in services of another religion, especially when the leader of the service is a close friend and mentor.

Obama looks Muslim and has admitted to going to Muslim school as a boy growing up in Indonesia.

His biological father was a Muslim.

So there is some evidence that backs people who say that B. Hussein Obama is a Muslim who attended the services of a friend and mentor.

The Nation of Islam leader whole-heartedly endorses Obama. So, when has Louis Farrahkan ever endorsed and promoted the election of a Christian, half-white person?

There is no contridiction. Obama is not a Muslim. He attended a church for 20 years that preached racism and hatred for America. Oprah went to this same church for 2 years before she realized what was being taught and left.

wow ignorance everywhere I tell ya- the sad fact is that most voters do NO research they just hear sound bites hear and there and put stuff together in there minds with whatever sounds good. Its absurd to think Obama is Muslim because he is a proud Christian and has been to Christian churches even when he lived in predominately Muslim countries

EVEN more the first answerer says they want to tax him and take 30% of his hard work. He is very ignorant OBAMA is LOWERING TAXES MORE THEN MCCAIN for people making less then 250k which is probably 99% of people on this forum anyone making 250k or more probably is out yachting somewhere not on y answers. So I would bet money he makes less then 250k therefore that shows the ignorance because under obama his taxes will be cut more then mccains tax cuts. Mccain is cutting taxes across the board with the more lucrative tax cuts going to the wealthy elite. So why does the wealthy elite need there taxes cut even more???? These wealthy elite usually pay less taxes then the middle class folks because they can afford to pay the high dollar accountants that hide there money and protect investments from taxes. Im middle class and know a few loopholes that shields my investments from capital gains

EDIT: Alex-gimme a break we both know your not rich by far because you would know. i work with high net worth people and they are being taxes FAIRLY, if your making 200 mil a year you can more then afford paying more tax dollars- like i said ignorant people with yourself being a perfect example. I guess you never heard of trust fund accounts- google it- i will send my bill later-

I think people claim he was a muslim, which would make both points valid.

Anyway, I  dont think anyone with half a brain can believe what is being said by Obama about this. It is obvious he agreed with Wright or didnt care enough to go to a different church. Is that man fit to be President?

And Captain Kid: You shouldnt be calling others ignorant until you learn how the tax system works. The rich are being unfairly taxed. The top 1% under Bush earned 20% of the nation's total income, but paid 40% of the taxes. If 40% of the taxes were paid by them, it doesnt seem like too many evaded paying their taxes, does it? Furthermore, you just sound jealous in your whole little rant that you arent rich. Maybe if you work harder.
