Are there sample tests for gifted kids?

My son is in first grade, and his teachers and I feel he may be gifted. I am curious to know before the actual test is administered (end of second grade), what sort of questions will be on the test. Is there a book, (like practice SAT books), or maybe an online sample of what the test will look like. Any information will be appreciated.

You'd do best to ask a school counselor or administrator what tests are given to the children as they vary.  I could be an IQ test or some other type of standardized test.

If you're asking for a pre-test, then you, the parent, are too anxious about the outcome.  If you're anxious, your anxiety will be felt by your boy.  If he's not identified by the school as gifted, life will go on and he'll still be a smart boy.  Those tests have arbitrary cutoffs, and there are plenty of non-intelligence-related factors that can influence them.  Like test anxiety.
