  1. There aren't any universities that I know of that I know of that give scholarships for road biking. Most collegiate cycling teams are "club based" and don't receive much funding at all. Instead, they rely on donations and sponsorships.

USA Cycling gives away something called a "Stenner Scholarship" top top collegiate athletes active in their collegiate team.

If you're thinking of a scholarship like top football athletes get, there really aren't any. I've never heard of a cyclist getting a "full ride" to a school because of his/her performance.

There are opportunities any money out there, but they're few and far between, and reserved for the really strong athletes.

  2. I really don't know but this was asked before here and no one heard of it. I point out it's more likely if you were a female, as title X funding is used for all kinds of sports for women. Check a few colleges yourself. Sorry I can't help.

  3. If the university you're interested in has a cycling team, then yes, it's pretty likely that they'll have scholarship access for it, at least in some small $ amount.  We have one here that does, but only one out of many in our state (University of Oklahoma).   Call up a financial aid advisor and they can quickly get you all the info you need to know about cycling scholarship availability.  Good luck!
