I like playing chess and I was wondering if there are any sites where I can play for real money?

Chess software makes cheating too commonplace for Internet cash.  Rybka on a Duo Quad 9300 with 4 GB of RAM would destroy on the Internet.

Tournaments are played all over just check at www.uschess.org.

even if it were legal the Internet is a full of cheaters and

sharks there's no way to enforce honesty on anonymous

People with access to strong computers and chess software.

Nope, and if you find one its an illegal site.  You'll have to find an OTB (over-the-board) tournament to play for money.

Those sites like that aren't legal anymore, and even if you win the people aren't required to pay you because it's not legal.
