  1. Yes there are, but not tour guide.  Cruise ships have people from the island.  The tour guides on St Kitts live on St Kitts so you wouldn't get to travel any.  All jobs can be temporary.  They allow you to quit when you want but I wouldn't mention on the interview that you plan to.

Cruise ships require 5 yrs min of experience in any field.  Flight attendent requires you to attend class for roughly 6 wks, unpaid.  Then they station you somewhere so it's not going to be where you apply at.  You may end up out of NYC sharing a flat with 6 other people.  Peace corp or military allows you to see the world.  Boot camp prerequisite.  For most things you can do it with a high school diploma but you need skills.  Really the only thing that doesn't require you to have any skills is missionary work but you have to live in horrible conditions.

Your best bet would be an assistant to someone.  For example, actresses have an entire entourage--from hair and makeup to person who gets the coffee.  Many tv shows film on location.  Travel channel shows or Wheel of Fortune.  You could be an assistant camera person with one of them.  The movie industry has thousands, from the assistant to the assistant producer to the roadie who packs the cameras.

You could get a job teaching English in Europe though you have to pay your own way over there.  Nannies are big in Europe--what's it called--au pair?  A rich family would have to have need of a service and be willing to pay you room and board.  You wouldn't end up with money at the end of it.  Just the room and board though.  Government job with someone at the UN.  A job working on a yacht.  Rich people keep a crew on the yacht at all times and you get the phone call "Have my yacht in St Thomas by July 31".

You really need to know someone.  Most people get those jobs through knowing someone like that though.  And without having any experience at all, you'll have to figure out a way to sell yourself.  Why do they want to hire you?

  2. Maybe as a stewardess or on a cruise ship like you said but other than that I really can't think of any. You should try looking into maybe moving to another country and getting a job there for a year or so.
