  1. They are in many cities all over the united states.

  2. Speed cameras in DFW Texas, yes.  BUT, they are mostly mounted on carts that are moved into place by the local police departments and they basically track the speed and traffic flow in that particular area for the time it is there.  There are also cameras used in DFW for Red Light Runners, HOV lane verification checks, to be sure that there are actually 2 or more people in the vehicle (however at this time, said cameras do not actually log or take pictures of violating vehicles yet) There are also cameras in DFW (on the Tollways) that take pictures of the violating cars that go through the toll plazas (for now) and do not pay.  However, at the time i wrote this, the North Texas Tollway Authority is removing said toll plazas and basically taking pics of every license plate that passes through where the toll plazas used to be and those which do not have toll tags, will be sent a bill to pay the toll fees.

  3. HAven't heard of any on highwsys but ther are in city streets. Here in Minnesota (Minneapolis) the legality of them is up for question in the courts. Camera sees violation, charges owner, owner wasn't driving, who's at fault.  Right now cameras are turned off, waiting for outcome of supreme court.

  4. NOT YET!!
